Exciting hiking holidays
in the mountains of South Tyrol
The Hotel Gasthof Pizzeria Kirchersepp in Barbiano is the perfect starting point for adventurous hikes into the mountain world of the Isarco Valley. Your holiday destination is dominated by the mighty peaks of the Corno del Renon. Well-marked hiking trails lead you to the Barbiano mountain pasture and into the peak region of the majestic mountain. Hiking maps with a list of marked trails are available at the hotel reception. A marvellous hiking destination in the immediate vicinity of your holiday home is the Barbiano Waterfall. On several levels, the river Ganda tumbles down in depth, before it flows into the river Isarco in Colma. The highest point of the waterfall is the lower level with an impressive height of 85 meters.
Hiking in alpine surroundings
on the Alpe di Villandro
After the Alpe di Siusi, the Alpe di Villandro is the second largest mountain pasture in South Tyrol – during your hiking holidays in the mountains it welcomes you with an extensive and well-marked network of hiking trails of various difficulty levels. Green lush meadows, species-rich upland moors and crystal-clear mountain lakes extend up to an altitude of 2,500 meters. One of the best panoramic views in South Tyrol is without doubt the circular vista from the local mountain of Barbiano, the mighty Corno del Renon. At a height of 2,260 meters, the view ranges from the Zillertal Alps in the north to the Sarentino Alps and to the bright limestone peaks of the Dolomites. The natural hiking region Alpe di Villandro is bounded by the Latzfons pastures and the romantic lake Rondella.
